West Virginia Fun!
ByYes, this post is a little late in coming since I got home from the trip on Sunday night and it is now Thursday! Please forgive me, I have had a ton going on in order to catch up on things from being away for a week, wrapping up stuff from the jr. high camp that happened just before I left, and I am speaking at the adult worship services this coming weekend.
Anyway, the trip was great! I drove to Rochester from Syracuse where I met my dad so we could travel to the Ace Adventure Center in Minden, WV where we would meet my brothers. My youngest brother drove up from Atlanta to Charlotte where he met the middle brother. They then continued on the meet up with us in WV.
Just before arriving at the camp site my dad and I pulled off to check out the overlook area of the New River Gorge. What an awesome sight! That bridge is the longest arched bridge in the Western Hemisphere and the bridge deck stands around 900′ above the river!
The whitewater was really what we were there for though! Here are some pics from the day:

- The brothers and I in the river! This was planned though. The pic was taken just after a section of class II rapids that our guide told us we could get out of the raft and float through!
