Concert
Posted by: | CommentsWent to a concert last night with a few sr. highers. Christopher Ames opened up with a few songs, then Everyday Sunday, and Decemberadio headlined. Turns out the kids that I took liked Everyday Sunday the best! So I put together a little slideshow of Everyday Sunday pics. If you are interested in making slideshows like this just check out animoto.com (yeah, I’ll get some free time if you register with that link but you’ll also get $5 off!)

All time worship songs?
Posted by: | CommentsAlthough I personally feel like we are getting into sticky territory when we begin rating worship songs I thought that this list over at The Search was pretty interesting!
- Charles Wesley (#83, #35) getting beat out by the likes of Sigur Ros (#6), Sufjan Stevens (#33, #8), The Beatles (#25), Mozart (#26), Coldplay (#30), and U2 (#13)!
- Not a Tomlin, Redman, or Zschech on the list!
- Coming in at #1 – Be Thou My Vision – Irish traditional
I am glad to see people recognizing that there are plenty of songs out there that are not marketed as church worship songs and in some cases not even written by Christians but can still be extremely worshipful for a follower of Jesus!
When It’s Stale, Throw It Out!
Posted by: | CommentsOne of my pet peeves is old, stale worship music! Get something fresh man! Sing a new song! With that said I am really looking forward to Lee McDerment’s album “A Matchlight In The Dark.”
So, what are you waiting for, go check it out already!
Remedy
Posted by: | CommentsThere is really nothing more to say except,
- if you like David Crowder Band, buy Remedy!
- if you like yourself, buy Remedy!
- if you don’t like yourself you will because of you good judgment in buying Remedy!
Here’s what some others are saying about the Album that came out today (Sept. 25.)
Under Pressure
Posted by: | CommentsI am sitting here doing my work for a class that I am taking on the book of James, I have to come up with four sermons on the book.
So, I am here working on the first and I have found myself drawn to the words of the song “Under Pressure” as performed by My Chemical Romance.
What a great song! Lyrics about how pressure can break people down, split families, put people out on the street, pressure coming from coming to grasp some of the realities of life and watching others go through the tough stuff of life. Realizing that the answer is not found trying to ignore the problems, or in not committing to action, but it IS found in love!
Q: What is love?
A: God!
