3 Story Evangelism

I received my set of the brand new 3 Story Evangelism Curriculum in the mail the other day and have started checking it out. My first impression is that this stuff is great although the “evangelism” tag will probably lead many people from a post-modern mindset to not latch on to it. I am sure there is some marketing reason that they used the word evangelism but in my opinion it is much more about having a 3 Story Lifestyle. So what are the three stories?

• My Story – The story of who I am really am and why I really need Jesus.
  • I can’t suggest that you need Jesus without first showing you that I need Jesus.
• Their Story – To share my faith with you I must discover your story.
  • I can’t expose you to Jesus’ love unless I give it to you – and listening is one of the greatest gestures of love there is.
• God’s Story – To share my faith with you I must unfold God’s story.
  • I can’t lead you to faith in Jesus without first introducing you to Jesus.

  There is obviously much more to this whole idea than just this, there are the connections between each of the stories, how we do this intentionally day in and day out…

  All in all, I am excited to see where a well produced, relationally intentional curriculum will lead us!
